Fiddler on the Roof
In the little village of Anatevka, Tevye, a poor dairyman, tries to instill in his five daughters the traditions of his tight-knit Jewish community in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. He must cope with both the strong-willed actions of his three older daughters—each one's choice of husband moves further away from the customs of her faith—and with the edict of the Tsar that evicts the Jews from their village. set in Tsarist Russia in 1905. It is based on Tevye and his Daughters (or Tevye the Milkman and Other Tales) by Sholem Aleichem.

Madera Wine Trail’s Wine & Chocolate Weekend 2012
The Madera Vintners Association’s family wineries are proud to present the Madera Wine Trail’s “Wine and Chocolate Weekend” on February 11 and 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Celebrate Valentine’s Day with your loved one and friends as you enjoy the award-winning wines of the Madera Wine Trail!
On this special weekend, guests will enjoy wine tasting at 10 wineries, live music, local art, chocolates and delicious food! For those who cannot purchase in advance, tickets will be available the weekend of the event at all wineries for $35.
Please select a winery to begin your tour. You must present your ticket and start your tour at the chosen winery location. You may start your tour at this winery either event date, Saturday or Sunday.

The St. Matthew’s choirs – boys and girls, youth, and adult – are vital to the worship life of our
parish community. More than 50 voices strong, the choirs have participated in numerous “Arts at St. Matthew’s” events through the years including exciting collaborations with Dave Brubeck, the Paul Winter Consort, Stephen Schwartz, Maureen McGovern, and Judy Collins as well as offering many choral concerts. Under the direction of Music Director, Rodney Ayers, their performance will include a wide array of beautiful music from classical selections to spirituals and theater songs. Also featured will be St. Matthew’s stunning Reuter pipe organ that includes more than 3,000 pipes. We are excited to welcome Sweet Honey In The Rock, an internationally renowned a cappella ensemble, which has been a vital and innovative presence in the music culture around the world. Rooted in a deeply held commitment to create music out of the rich textures of African American legacy and traditions, this talented group possesses a stunning vocal prowess that captures the sounds of blues, spirituals, traditional gospel hymns, rap, reggae, African chants, Hip Hop, ancient lullabies, and jazz improvisation. Sweet Honey’s collective voice, occasionally accompanied by hand percussion instruments, produces a sound filled with soulful harmonies and intricate rhythm. In the best and hardest of times, Sweet Honey has come in song to communities around the world raising their voices in hope, love, justice, peace and resistance. KMJ Radio Tradio Yard Sale 2012
Not just a little old yard sale. The KMJ Radio Tradio Yard Sale is Saturday, May 12th at the Madera Fairgrounds from 7AM-1PM. This event kicks off the yard sale season by giving you a chance to gather up all the stuff that’s cluttering up your home or business and put it out for sale. The KMJ Radio Tradio Yard Sale offers a full day of hawking gently-used goods and haggling over fair market bargain prices. Rain or shine. No outside food or beverage is allowed. No guns, knives or ammo.
